Ascend

from Resist to Exist by Chris Szkup

about

Lyrically it's a fun take on visiting the Victoria Markets on a weekend and having folks nearly cut your toes off with their black trolleys. Seems to me that big city folks really need to step back sometimes and remember whats important.

lyrics

Autumn big city Saturday
Made to be enjoyed
But during the breakfast latte
The army is deployed

O nine hundred hours sharp
Lieutenant Mavis' platoon
Packing their arsenal
Notorious trolleys of doom

Black cages, bags thrown in
End of aisle congregations begin
As the hunt begins for prey
Obstacles run out of the way

Razor sharp wheels of steel ascend
The four eyed army march in time
On one thing you can depend
They'll kill you for your place in line

Tarsals from meta, seperate
Dislodged at the speed of sound
Compulsory dislocate
As the wheels go round and round

Two seconds to let ya through
This I just cannot do
Sheepishly toe the line
With the rest of bonehead kind

Razor sharp wheels of steel ascend
The four eyed army march in time
On one thing you can depend
They'll kill you for your place in line
